History
Sindh is a historical home for sindhi people. After pak-indo separation large number of people migrate to sindh from india as well as other provinces of Pakistan. That is why different culture from all over Pakistan reside in Sindh. Indus Civilization (well known as Harappan Culture or Harappan Civilization) is the most famous cultural civilization in Sindh. It is to be considered that Indus Civilization around 3000 BCE old.
Geography & Climate
Sindh province located in the western-nook of south Asia. Geographically population wise second biggest province and area wise third biggest province in Pakistan. 579 kilometers boundary stretch from north to south, 442 kilometers boundary stretch from east to west, with area of 140,915 sq-km Pakistani territory. Famous desert "Thar Desert" covered the area from east, Kirthar Mountains from west, arabian sea to the south and center plain is fertile area due to Indus River. Like other provinces of Pakistan, Sindh province shows the different season with amazing style throughout the year. Summer season begins from start or mid of February and end almost starting of August. In summer temperature frequently rise around above 46 °C. Winter season from September to January and in winter temperature down near 2 °C. Seven inches average annual rainfall in Sindh.
Urdu is a countrywide language of Pakistan but Sindhi is local (provincial) language of Sindh. There are many others languages used in this Province like Saraiki, Brahui, kutchi, Dhatki and etc. Karachi is the biggest and provincial capital city of this province. According to statistic in 2011, the population of Sindh approximately 55.2 million which is the 31% total population of Pakistan. Latitude and longitude 26.1000° N, 68.5000° E with area 140,914 sq-km. There are many rivers flow in Sindh but most famous and biggest river is Indus River. The approximately length Indus River is 3200 km that consider as a longest river in Asia Region. It can be seen that there are many archaeological sites in Sindh. Mohenjo-daro is most famous place, not only in Pakistan, its top of the most famous ancient civilization in the world due to its history and ancient civil engineering art. The structure of Ranikot fort is also a great ancient engineering art located near Sann, Jamshoro District. Local people called this fort by different names. like "The Great Wall of Sindh" or "Dewar-e-Sindh".
