Royal Fort of Lahore (Famous as Shahi Qila Lahore)
Lahore Fort famous as Shahi Qila by the locals, situated northwest corner of Lahore City famous as city of gardens, in famous Iqbal Park which is the largest urban park in Lahore. It's not possible that tourists will come to Lahore City and forgot to visit the lovely, amazing and beautiful Lahore Fort. The Lahore Fort was listed in world heritages sites year of 1981 by UNESCO. Fort location has one of the beautiful places in Pakistan.
History
Lahore Fort history is not clear, history based on different myths and no one knows that who built this fort first. But according to some old famous hindu myths that the founder of Lahore Fort was Loh who was the son of Lord Rama. However, first historical reference goes back to 11 century and that was the time of ruler Muhammad Ghazni. Demolished, built, damaged, rebuilt and restored many time before this actual condition. The present building or condition was reformed by great Akbar ruler in 1566 (when Lahore became capital announced by ruler). The fort was again modified in 1618 by Jahangir but later on building was damaged by Sikh and British rules in different attacks. One more wonderful gate was added in 1674 by the instruction of the current ruler Aurangzeb Alamgir and the gate was named "Alamgiri Gate". Before and after Pak-indo separation, every government has take care of this fort.

Sheesh Mahal
The beautiful Sheesh Mahal (palace of mirror) was constructed in 1631-1632 by the instruction of Empeoror Shah Jahan in supervision of Asif Khan. Sheesh Mahal hall is one of the most beautiful, charming and attractive hall in the fort.
Khwabgah (sleeping chamber)
Khwabgah was built in 1633 by the order of Shah Jahan Emperor. Khwabgah was built in the supervision of Wazir Khan (Wazir Khan was the found or Wazir Khan Mosque).
Diwan-e-Aam (public hall audience)
Shah Jahan order after fourteenth year (in 1642) of his rule to construct a hall for the public (hall has forty pillars) in under supervision of Asif Khan. Diwan-e-Aam hall was collapsed due to bombarding by Sher Singh (against fighting with Chand Kour). This specific part of building was repaired after a long time.
Moti Masjid (moti mosque)
The amazing building of Moti Masjid (moti mosque) was build in the 17th century by the order of great Shah Jahan Ruler. Moti Masjid was constructed with white marble and this white marble had to brought from makrana. This is small masjid (mosque) has three domes. During Sikh rule this masjid was converted (forcibly) into sikh temple which later on called as Moti Mandir.
There are many lot of other places in Lahore Fort like Sikh buildings, Jahangir's Quandrangle, Hathi Paer (elephant stairs), Naulakha Pavilion, Akbari Gate and Masti Gate, Paien Bagh (ladies garden), Khilwat Khana, Makateeb Khana, Lal Burj and Kala Burj (watch towers), Hammam-e-Shahi (royal bath), galleries and etc.
Location
The Lahore Fort is situated northwest corner of wall city of Lahore, Iqbal Park. Iqbal Park is the largest urban park in Lahore. Minar-e-Pakistan, Badshahi Masjid, Food Street and many other famous places can be seen around the Lahore Fort. Minar-e-Pakistan is very historical place for Pak-Indo Muslims. Minar-e-Pakistan is that place where Pakistan Resolution passed on 23march 1940. This is also one of the famous monument in Pakistan. The famous minaret was design by Naseer-ud-Din Khan (design combination of modern and mughal's architecture). Badshahi Masjid (mosque) constructed between 1671-1673, in Lahore by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. This is largest masjid (mosque) in Pakistan and the 5th largest masjid (mosque) in the world from 1673 to many years. Shahi Qila (Lahore Fort) Food Street was inaugurated, January 2012. It is little expensive compared to Gawalmandi Food Street. The Lahore Fort has one of the beautiful places in Pakistan.
